How are you celebrating the first day of spring?

As Robin William’s put it, “spring is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s party!” So get out there everyone and start balancing eggs. Me? You ask. I’m celebrating in style.

Today’s the BIG day. Double Trouble, or DT² if you read my blog, is having the launch party for her new venture. Out in the real world DT Levy is a powerhouse I call friend. She and her partner Sasha Muir have been working tirelessly. And their line will not disappoint. Seriously I know these things. Trust me.

I realize that Double Trouble is suddenly no longer anonymous. Oh well. As of tomorrow she’d have been outed anyway (at least on my blog). As I intend to share my handiwork and their accomplishment with all of you. Then you can go buy buy buy. Believe me you’ll want to.

If you’ve been following my blog you’ve already heard the snails that should have been quails misstep that sparked the adventure in toile toile toile, my own version of the Yiddish toi, toi, toi. But in the end a piece of work I’m extremely proud and fond of. My love knows no bounds for these two ladies either.

So even though I’m a little hermetic I’m going out tonight. And going OUT is an event in and of itself. This is a black n white party so I have to get to dress up. I’ve known DT² for years and she’s never seen me in makeup. That changes tonight. Hope I remember how to apply it.

If I had my way I’d take the day off work. Get my nails done- Don’t say it! Everyone needs to pamper occasionally. I’d buy a pair of black ridiculously high heels only to be worn on such occasions and quickly cast aside. Luckily DT² and I wear the same shoe size so I can raid her closet. Thank God for fashionable friends.

See, in the end it doesn’t matter if an egg can actually balance today. It’s a metaphor folks, a symbol, one designed to make us stop and recognize the season and participate in a cosmic phenomenon. And tonight I plan to celebrate with the kindred souls who surround me. And welcome Bevee into the fashion world.
