Witch Mountain

My insides barren, lay wasted by chemo. Night after night I walk the desert.

As a child I understood magic. I rooted for Tia to save Tony, built my own StarCase. And believed in time my supernatural powers would be revealed-Telepathy and Telekinesis the least among them.

Now my medical team’s become my Earthquake Gang. I fight the villains’ nefarious plans to wreak havoc. I’ll find my way home.

Just concentrate, the water glass sliding within reach.  Again.

“Ms. Thomas did you call me?” the nurse inquired.

“Yes I did.” Now I know I’ve everything needed – my magic replete.

When I first spied this week’s photo prompt my mind wandered to a mountain on the back highway into Boulder called Dragon Rock. Legend said it was a sleeping dragon. I had always wondered on the magic that they within mountains. Since I was a little girl I was always looking for Witch Mountain.  Hence, the evolution and inspiration of my FF offering.
