Tyree’s Artist Statement

Made on his Object D’Art~ The Chromatic Typewriter, a modified 1937 Underwood Standard typewriter. He replaced the letters and keys with color pads and hued labels.

Tom Robbins says the Pacific Northwest is “a landscape in a minor key”. Tyree is riffing off that in his PNW paintings. This is in progress. Oil on canvas. 42″x22″.
