For me it lives everywhere. Never knowing when it will strike. But in a flash my mind is flooded with an image. The idea sparked to life; sugar plum fairies dancing in my head…pesky fairies.
For example the other day I was shopping for cards to send clients and came across this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, “A woman is like a tea bag; you never know how strong it is until it’s in hot water.” Suddenly this image popped into my head.
Or perhaps it is the country song playing on the drive to work which I shamefully can’t recall. But paraphrased the lyrics where something akin to …”In order to fall in love you have to be willing to put your toes over the ledge and feel the wind on your face.” From which this was born. If I reverse her and call it First to Fall I can cover another favorite song with one image.
Sometimes it is my own emotions, a feeling of letting go, which sparks the image.
Whatever the inspiration or whenever it strikes I am quick to illustrate or at the very least make a note for later reference. I contend that Inspiration truly Lives everywhere!
So where does inspiration live for you?
