This has been my favorite musical since hitting Broadway in the 80s. For me none have come close in either musical splendor or personal memories, ranking in the top 10 of my personal lifetime moments. So I am undoubtedly eager to go see the new movie adaption despite the varied reviews. Bah Humbug to any naysayer. For me the glory of this musical is unchallengeable, undeniable and unforgettable.
So today I figured I would share the wisdom if Victor Hugo and the imagery of the most recent adaptation of Les Misérables.
“To Love another person is to see the face of God”
“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.”
“It is nothing to die. It is frightful not to live.”
“Not being heard is no reason for silence.”
“Those who do not weep do not see.”
“Love is the foolishness of men, and the wisdom of God.”
“Diamonds are to be found only in the darkness of the earth, and truth in the darkness of the mind.”
